How does FlashJack work?
Flashjack displays colorful animations that mimic players and events at real Blackjack tables. As game events such as "player-Win", "player-Blackjack" and "dealer-Bust" happen at the real table, those events are animated on the large FlashJack display.
The display sits on or near the Blackjack table, drawing attention from players and non-players alike. Players experience an increase in their engagement level encouraging them to play longer and non-players see visually stimulating animations encouraging them to sit and join the game.
The whole Flashjack system is driven by a low profile CPU easily concealed under the table or even mounted on the back of the FlashJack display.
What are the major benefits of the FlashJack system?
Flashjack enriches the player's gaming experience at a Blackjack table -- increased playtime means increased revenue!
- The animated events create a visually fun and exciting atmosphere for the players.
- Special "Hot Table" animations are designed to attract the attention of nearby people enticing them to sit and play as well.
- Over time, players begin to feel invested in their animated avatars as they grow and develop onscreen.
- Another major benefit is the dynamic in-game advertising space. FlashJack is designed to be very flexible with types and placement of ads.
- This all serves to add to the player's gaming experience and encourages them to play longer then they normally would.
What type of gains can we expect from using FlashJack?
Assuming FlashJack improved duration by even 5 minutes, the annual increase in theoretical-win – for a single table – would be anywhere from $82K to over $1.6M depending on the table bet minimums. (*Assumes a hold of 6.25%, an average of 3 players at a table, frequency of 80 hands per hour, and table is open 24x7.)
- Over $164,000 per table per year for $10 minimum tables.
- Over $400,000 per table per year for $25 minimums tables.
- Over $1,600,000 per table per year for $100 minimum tables.
What kind of advertising can you put in it?
We designed the system to be very flexible about advertising. Ads can be static images or text or fully animated. They can run at intervals or be ever-present. They can run in full screen mode or take advantage of background space or table space.
How does the system know when a player gets a "Win" or "Blackjack"?
In the standard version of FlashJack, the dealer (or anyone you want) indicates winning hands through a one-touch rapid entry touchscreen system at the table. As an alternative, MilkBottle will also customize FlashJack to take advantage of RFID enabled cards & chips to automate the inputting of game events.
How much work does the dealer have to do?
Surprizingly little! The touch screen input system is specifically designed for rapid one-touch data entry. Losses are not keyed in, in each round only player-wins, player-Blackjacks and dealer-bust events are entered if they occur, other events are handled automatically by the system.
What effect to security cameras?
There is no direct interference with security cameras or other electrical devices as all the wireless functions of the computer are disabled for security reasons. The only possible issue is physically positioning the display so as not to block camera views, the other components are small enough to be hidden from view altogether.
What does it take to maintain the system?
If anything should go wrong, just restart the computer. It's designed to boot up properly configured and ready for use.
What does the player win? Is there a monetary change to the game?
There is no monetary change to the players at all. The players are entertained by the animations, and see exposed to advertising.
What is my daily operating cost?
There are no consumables, so the daily operating cost is zero. Our maintenance plan covers any reasonable issues in case of hardware or software failure. Of course, it doesn't cover if some one spills their drink on it. Although, the players should never be anywhere near any of the equipment anyway.
What does Flashjack do when a player loses a hand?
Nothing. FlashJack only provides positive feedback to encourage players to play longer. Only player-Win, player-Blackjack and dealer-Bust events are tracked. Even losing players are rewarded with character leveling to reward them for playing longer.
What happens if a "Win" or "Blackjack" event is keyed in for the wrong player?
There is an Undo option on the touch screen display that can be used to reverse the last event keyed in for any avatar.
What is displayed on the screen when the table is down?
The system can be set up to display splash screen advertising when the table is down or nothing at all. Custom developed advertising is available through MilkBottle.
Are there any options that are customizable at the casino?
There are several options that are easily customizable at the casino:
- The Min and Max bet limits for the table can be easily customized at the table through the touchscreen interface. They can be changed at any time without disrupting the game in progress.
- The threshold that triggers a "Hot Table" event is customized through the config file.
- The rate at which time-based prizes are awarded is customized through the config file.
- The splash screen that is displayed when the system is at rest can be customized through the screen saver preference settings. Custom developed advertising is also available.
Are there any security risks relating to Flashjack or the computer that Flashjack is running on?
No. Every computer system running FlashJack is configured to run as a standalone system with all wireless and other networking type functions disabled by default to prevent unauthorized access. The system is also designed to operate without requiring a standard keyboard and mouse providing an additional measure of security. The isolated system is effectively "offline" and therefore immune to viruses and other malicious software.
Is the system approved by State Gaming Boards?
The standard Flashjack system does not require State Gaming Board approval as it does not affect the cash value for the players -- it is a non-monetary based reward system from the player's point of view.
What is the investment to set up FlashJack at my casino?
The licensing investment depends on the number of tables. We offer a variety of flexible licensing options ranging from 1 Table Licenses to 5, 10, 20, 25, 50, 100 and even Unlimited Site Licenses. Contact us for pricing details.
How difficult is Flashjack to install? What kind of support is included?
Flashjack systems come preinstalled and configured out of the box -- they can be set up in minutes. Maintenance agreements are included with all Flashjack licenses and include installation support, minor version updates, and fast replacement of components in case of hardware failures.
When is FlashJack available?
FlashJack is available now! Customized versions require some time to do the customization work, contact us for an estimate on custom work.
